1. Purpose
By organizing the Sport Fishing World Champion Cup 2001, the global celebration for the entire fishing loving population, this event aims at enhancing the skills and methods of angling through the cultural exchange of sport fishing among the nations of the world, uplifting the dignity of anglers, and establishing the angling as the sport of all humankind. It is further to serve the realization of world peace.

5. Venue
Peripheral fishing spot near Go-to Islands of Hirado-shi, Nagasaki prefecture
6. Participants
Maximum 16 representative players for Surf Casting category
and Maximum 3 players for Boat Fishing category from each country.
Each country can enter only one of two above categories.

(1) Please let us know the possibility of participation from your county before May 31, 2001.
(2) In case your nation participates, please send in the following material before July 31, 2001.
① Photo and profile of the head of delegations and his complementary message (in English or Japanese, Tel/Fax)
② Player’s name list, photos and phone number for contact (in English & Japanese)
③ Arrival schedule in Japan (date, airport, flight, & time)
7. Expense
Host country will be responsible for the overall cost of event (food、lodging, sight-seeing etc). But, the participants must pay for the round-trip ticket including the domestic flights within Japan.
8. Rules of Tournament
1) Fishing point will be determined based on the agreement among the representative players.
2) Time to start and end the matches will be determined upon the agreement among the players.
3) The use of bait and chum is principally limited to those prepared by the organizers. (only regarding the bait, the player can prepare for himself, if he wishes)
4) All the details of the rules will be determined based on the agreement among the players.
9. Judging method
1) The objects of fishing are, Beng-go-tom porgy (Girella punctata), Snapper, Black porgy, Scup, Cold porgy, Saw-edged perch, Yellowtail, Amberjack, Grouper, or Sea bass.
2) Individual prize is given according to the ranking determined by the total weight of the fishes a player caught, not regarding his nationality.
3) National group prize is given in accordance with the agreement among the representative players.

3) Individual prize in Boat Fishing
Champion : $10,000 & trophy
2nd place : $5,000 & trophy
3rd place : $3,000 & trophy
4th ~ 10th place : Medal
※ Commemorative prize will be given to all players.
